Bio: Hi! I'm Emily - a birth doula certified through Birth Boot Camp.
When I was pregnant with my first son, my interest and love for all things pregnancy, childbirth education, birth, postpartum, and motherhood was born as well. Throughout my first pregnancy and birth I learned the value of education and of feeling empowered, educated, respected, and listened to before and during birth. After my intervention-free second birth, my belief that birth is beautiful, natural, and powerful was solidified.
My goal for the women and families I serve is to provide physical and emotional support during labor and birth, and to make sure they feel capable, calm, and trusting of their body and story throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth. I believe everyone has different goals and visions for their birth - I want to support moms in their unique birth preferences and make sure they feel peaceful and heard in whatever their birth wishes are.
