Bio: I'm a homeschooling mama to 5, married to my high school sweetheart, and if you don't find me sipping on a good cup of coffee, you'll probably find me on a hiking trail. I'm a California-native turned Texan, and outdoors in nature is still one of my favorite places to be - even with the Houston humidity!
My desire to support women in their birth space came from my traumatic birth experience with my firstborn. I remember sitting in the hospital after he was born, thinking to myself that I would never do this again. Did birth really have to be this way? I started researching, and when I got pregnant with our second baby only 7 months later, my husband and I decided that we would have a home birth. It was a beautiful, healing experience and I went on to have 3 more babies at home. I learned to believe in my body's ability to do what it already knew how to do: bring life into this world. The birthing space has always been sacred to me. My hope is to come alongside a mother as a sister and friend, supporting her as she makes the holy journey into motherhood.

As this was my first home birth I truly didn’t know what to expect about the process but she guided me through every contraction from the moment she walked in. She then guided my husband through the process and helped him to help me, which was such an amazing bonding experience for us. She encouraged me through prayer and affirmations the entire time. Delivery came and she did what she had told me she would do : she advocated in ways I didn’t know were possible.
