Bio: Hi sweet mama, I’m Karen. Welcome — you’ve found a space where your story, your baby, and your breastfeeding journey are deeply honored.
My path began in nursing and grew into the work I do today as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Over the years, I’ve learned that breastfeeding challenges are rarely “just about the latch.” They often trace back to deeper roots — tension patterns, tongue function, gut health, and even the stress-mind connection. My passion is helping families uncover and address those root causes so that both mother and baby can truly thrive.
To serve you well, I’ve sought advanced and holistic training beyond standard lactation care. I’ve completed an Advanced Holistic Lactation Residency, Masterclass training, specialized TOTS (tethered oral tissues) training, and Gut-Brain connection training. These experiences allow me to look at breastfeeding not just as feeding, but as a whole-body, whole-family experience.
My greatest teachers, though, have been my three boys — all born with tongue ties. Their journeys pushed me deeper into this work and shaped the way I walk alongside families with both compassion and practical guidance.

“I had the pleasure of being one of Karens lactation consultant patients. I gave birth to my son & quickly in was informed that due to my son’s weight he was labeled “failure to thrive.” I was a first time mom and exclusively breastfeeding. I thought everything was going perfect but after hearing those words my world came to a screeching halt. My pediatrician had suggested that I go see a lactation consultant and that’s where my journey started with Karen! Right from the beginning Karen was so gentle with our situation but also honest about the hard work we’d have to do to make breastfeeding work. Per Karen’s suggestion I immediately started triple feedings. My milk supply had taken a deep dive and was almost depleted. I didn’t want to use formula and although others made me question my decision- Karen calmly said “we’re not there yet, you have time to let your body turn things around.” I was blessed enough to supplement with my sister-in-laws breastmilk, due to my supply dip.
About a month into our journey, we got my son’s tongue, lip, and cheek ties released. Karen was there with us and made me feel so confident in our decision . Karen continued to support us by ensuring we were stretching correctly. About 5-6 weeks after the releases my son’s latch was finally perfect! My baby started to get his first little roll and was starting to chunk up! Karen got me through the emotional rollercoaster, encouraged me, checked in on me mentally, cried with me and celebrated our successes. Karen was not only a lactation consultant but an amazing teacher. She taught me in a way I truly started to learn how the body was functioning and what my baby needed. Karen and I had a LONG journey together, by the end my visits started to taper to less frequent but still needed to check in. My milk production had been increasing and we still continued to do weighted feeds and to see those numbers increase over time filled my heart with joy. It reminded me that I can do hard things, and without Karen encouraging me, my journey would not have been the same. I ended up breastfeeding until my son was 2, and none of that would have been possible without Karen! I can literally say she changed my life and my son’s life. She gave me confidence as a mother and a provider for my son! She was a Godsend!
